Call for entries

The call for entries, for the 2017 edition of the Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans, concerns only the International VR Works Competition and the French-speaking Coproduction Forum for Web Series.

There is no call for submission for short films, feature films, TV series nor for music videos, which are identified and preselected directly by the Festival programmers.

Virtual reality Works - International competition


Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans is opening its call for submission for its International Virtual Reality Works Competition.

Since 2014, the Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans has presented a programme of international VR works. Since 2016, this programme includes a competitive section with ten virtue reality works that are selected, then presented to a specialized Jury of directors, digital creators and producers from all over the world. The VR Jury awards a Reflet d’Or to the best virtual reality work, worth CHF 10’000 donated by the City and the State of Geneva.

Submission for Virtual Reality works (International Competition) is open form April to August, 2017. To submit your work, please follow the instructions on our work, please follow the instructions on our online platform here and choose "Registration form", then "Register a VR work".

We are looking for VR works from any country.

Criteria:

- VR works must have already been shown or will be shown/broadcast in 2016-2017.

- VR works need a Swiss premiere status in festivals to be part of the international competition. Works entered cannot have been shown in events/festivals in Switzerland before November 12th, 2017.

All genre are welcome - documentary, fiction, cinema, animation and installation - as long as the work has its own narrative dimension and a interactive and/or immersive aspect. Coherence and pertinence between the content, the storytelling and the experience are the deciding factors in the selection process.

Web series projects - French-speaking Coproduction forum

The Geneva International Film Festival Tous Ecrans is renewing its call for project for the French-speaking Coproduction Forum for Web Series, for the fourth year running, as part of the Geneva Digital Market.

The French-speaking Coproduction Forum for Web, Series is designed to showcase the most creative web series projects and to promote international coproduction and distribution, with the aim of creating a Francophone environment that stimulates audiovisual production and exchanges in the digital field. The programme will include a pitch session presenting ten or so selected projects from French-speaking countries (Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Quebec and some from Africa) followed by prearranged one-to-one (20 minutes) between project teams and potential-producers and distributors.

Registration for the call for projects for the French-speaking Coproduction Forum for Web Series is now open. To register your web series, please follow the instructions on our online platform (link) and choose "Register formes", the "Call for Web Series Project".

We are looking for original and innovative projects.

Criteria:

- being Francophone
- having an international potential
- having a financing plan in place

Having a national broadcasting platform committed to the project is an asset.

All web series projects, in progress, in pre-production or in production are accepted. Only finished and broadcasted web series ares not eligible. Any genre (documentary, fiction, animation) is accepted, expected projects deemed to be advertising a service or product.

Selection is not open, except for the French-speaking web series projects (see above).

Only selected works (short films, feature films, TV series, music videos, VR works and web series) can be registered on our platform, after receiving the official selection letter from the Festival.

NB: Since 2016, there is no more transmedia works competition. Nevertheless a selection of transmedia projects as well as interactive and/or immersive works are presented ouf of competition, in the Virtual Territories section, during the next edition of the Festival.
