Thursday 31 October, 7:30 pm, Auditorium Arditi

Opening ceremony & screening

To inaugurate its 19th edition and for the first time in Switzerland, Festival Tous Ecrans is honoured to feature one of the most anticipated films of the close of the year: Inside Llewyn Davis by Joel and Ethan Coen (watch the trailer), the legendary brothers who brought us FargoThe Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men. This beatnik immersion into sixties America portrays a week in the life of a folk singer who has come to Greenwich Village to make it big. These seven days will take him to opposite ends of New York City and of his own destiny, in the company of a ginger cat. Winner of the Grand Prix at this year's Cannes Film Festival, where it also met with critical acclaim, Inside Llewyn Davis will be screened only once at Festival Tous Ecrans.

Preeceded by the short film Adieu Rita, directed by André S. Labarthe and a component of the retrospective Cinéastes, de notre temps

Thursday 31 October, 22:30 pm, Athénée 4

To carry on the celebration, the screening will be followed by an exclusive concert by Ed Harcourt. The British songwriter and contemporary pop-folk wonder boy will appear solo in the magical, intimate setting of the Athénée 4.
